Designed as a graduated old-cut diamond line with central two line diamond and (later) cultured pearl pendants, mounted in silver and gold, circa 1890, 37.2 cm. long, with red leather fitted case stamped Mellerio dits Meller, 9 Rue de la Paix and initials B.C. with coronet to the cover
