The pendant of palmette design, with central marquise-cut diamond within buff-top sapphire and circular-cut diamond surround to the articulated diamond line dividing into scrolled crescents with sapphire detail, circa 1925, 5.5 cm. high, with French assay mark for platinum

Lot Essay

Georges Adolphe Thibault was a French jeweller who worked from 101 Rue Réaumure in Paris and whose creations were popular in the 1920s and '30s. He was so highly regarded by fellow jewellers that Monsieur Boucheron sent his son, Frederik, as an apprentice to the Thibault workshop in 1928.
