A Continental gilt-metal small striking table clock
First quarter 17th Century
The case comprising three sections, the base on brass bun feet supporting a gadrooned moulded spreading foot beneath a bell gallery pierced and finely engraved with the four seasons, the hinged mid section carrying the watch movement (now lacking the dial), the hinged cupola top with colonnade gallery, surmounted by a leaf engraved dome with a spire finial; case re-gilt, movement lacking much of the wheelwork
