An Austrian small patinated bronze and ormolu grande sonnerie mantel clock with alarm
Circa 1820
The drum case surmounted by the figure of a negro wearing headdress and holding aloft a wreath, supported by Eygptian harpies to the sides, on rectangular base with canted corners and raised on milled bun feet, the narrow white enamel Arabic chapter ring with engine-turned centre, blued steel arrow hands and alarm-set hand, the triple barrel movement with pierced and engraved bridgecock to the balance and strike/alarm on two gongs via three hammers
