An Austrian gilt-brass 'insert' timepiece
Rerschamer in Wienn. Second half 18th Century
The rectangular case with plain rear door, with matted gilt frame to a gilt dial engraved with foliate scroll spandrels to an applied silvered chapter ring with Roman hours and Arabic five minutes, signed in the centre Rerschamer in Wienn, now with double-ended hand, the movement with four baluster pillars, the single chain fusee with verge escapement and elaborately pierced and engraved footed cock
