The plain case with moulded pediment and raised on later bracket feet, the rectangular brass dial engraved with foliate scrolls against a stipple ground, with Roman and Arabic chapter ring engraved with fleur-de-lys half hour markers, the matted centre engraved with two cherubs flanking a reserve inscribed Una ex his Mocho, with another below inscribed Ultima bona, with later minute hand, front-swinging pendulum with pierced and engraved bob, the four ringed pillar movement with twin barrels and verge escapement, with engraved countwheel strike on a bell set into the metal rear door, the backplate engraved with curlicues and inscribed Kayserlicher Hoffhe freyter Ferdinant Miller
