A George III miniature mahogany bracket timepiece with alarm

The case with brass handle to the breakarch top, pierced brass fishscale sound frets to the sides, gilt-brass lined front door with brass escutcheon, the moulded base on brass bracket feet, the arched brass dial signed William Bull Stratford Essex within an oval cartouche above the narrow silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with finely sculpted blued steel hands and central silvered alarm disc within the matted centre, foliate spandrels, the diminuitive four pillar single gut fusee movement with original pivoted verge escapement, the alarm striking on a bell above the plates and with pulley mounted on the plain backplate
