The shaped rectangular case flanked to one side by a drawing maiden and by a fluted column surmounted by a buste of a classical hero to the other side, on a plinth applied with relief mounts depicting a trophee with a palet, on toupie feet, the Roman and Arabic dial signed Ml. Holtzel à Cologne, the twin barrel movement with silk suspension and outside countwheel strike on bell, later pendulum
