In the Napoleon III style, inlaid overal with cartouche-shaped panels of floral marquetry, the serpentine fronted moulded rectangular Rouge Languedoc marble top above a concave-sided frieze and a hinged fall front, the reverse with a purple velvet-lined writing surface, enclosing a maple-lined interior with four drawers, above three drawers and a waved apron, the keeled angles headed by foliate mounts, on splayed legs with pierced foliate sabots, marble top broken and restored
