A French Provincial ormolu-mounted and tulipwood bureau plat
Second half 18th Century
The shaped rectangular top with brass-moulded edges and a gilt-tooled maroon leather-lined writing surface, above a shallow drawer flanked to either side by a deeper drawer, the reverse with simulated drawer fronts, on cabriole legs headed by pierced foliate mounts and terminating in pierced C-scroll sabots, losses to the veneers and restorations
