Modelled with a standing classically draped figure holding an amphora in one hand, her other upraised hand forming the suspension point for a brass rod pendulum with patinated spherical bob, its steel pointer touching a revolving arm and causing the pendulum to oscillate, the alabaster breakfront base with scroll side mounts and Assyrian mask to the front, rasied on paw feet, the brass dial with foliate engraved centre and Roman chapter ring, blued steel moon hands, the twin barrel movement with strike on bell, the escapement regulated by the pendulum swinging above -- 35¾in. (91cm.) high
