The case with a flowering urn finial and flanked by figures of half-draped maidens, with scrolls to the sides trailing floral garlands, with inward bowed porcelain panels to the sides painted with flowers within gilt reserves, the front panel painted with two lovers in a glade, the breakfront base raised on toupie feet, the white enamel Roman and Arabic dial signed JULIEN LEROY A PARIS, with pierced gilt-metal hands, the twin barrel movement with countwheel strike on bell -- 19¼in.
