A William IV ebonised library timepiece, second quarter 19th century
The pagoda case with brass handle above the glazed top panel, with bevelled glass side panels and fret carved panel to the rear door, the foliate scroll engraved gilt-brass square dial with Roman chapter ring, signed FRODSHAM & SON LONDON, blued steel hands, the single chain fusee movement with anchor escapement, with stamped repeat signature to the back plate with pendulum holdfast (screw lacking), secured to the base with a horseshoe bracket -- 9½in. (24cm.) high to hilt of handle
