gouache and gold on paper, a battle scene between three well-armed horsemen and a group of stone-throwing men who wear only loin-cloths, two attendants watch from the hill above, panels of black nasta'liq above and below, white border within gold and coloured margins and rules, on blue leaf painted with gold scrolling palmette sprays - miniature 21 x 10.8cm., leaf 36 x 24cm.
