A Chinese bronze hexagonal baluster vase
Ming Dynasty
with cylindrical handles to the sides, decorated in relief with bands of taotie masks and confronting dragons on geometric grounds above a further band of stiff leaves -- 13¾in. (35cm.) high; and a bronze gu vase of typical waisted form, its central section with taotie masks between flanges, the foot with archaic designs and the neck with vertical leaf-like lappets, all on geometric grounds -- 9¼in. (23.5cm.) high, (old damages and degredation).
