the handle formed from two entwined snakes, each of a differing colour gold, the rounded rectangular base with a two-colour gold side frieze of flowers and foliage, the citrine matrix with engraved phrase, "Pensee a moi"

and a further gold-mounted fob-seal, the handle formed from serpents the oval matrix with engraved coat of arms, English, mid nineteenth century -- 2.9cms.
The arms are those of Metcalf of Beare Park, Bedale and Bellerby, York and Louth Park, Lincoln.
