Lot Essay

During the banquet scene, Willie [Kate Capshaw] finds herself unable to face the delicacies on offer, including "Snake Surprise" [see lot 188], and fried beetles, identical to those included in this lot, and so asks if there is anything...simple, like soup? - she is presented with a steaming bowl, which has several eyeballs, identical to those included in this lot, bobbing around in the liquid.
