A Praetorian Guard's costume comprising: a three-quarter-length tunic and drawstring trousers of purple wool, a simulated metal chest plate with lace fastening with tie-on full-length purple wool cape, leather and simulated metal cingulum, two greaves and two braces, a pair of knee-length tan leather boots with tie fastenings, a simulated metal helmet, a prop sword with turned wooden hilt, aluminium blade and metal and canvas scabbard, a wooden javelin and a black canvas covered shield with simulated metal mount painted with a laurel leaf motif -- made for the 2000 Universal film Gladiator; accompanied by a document concerning the provenance and a colour reproduction of a corresponding still (a lot)

These Praetorian Guard costumes are first seen in the film when Maximus [Russell Crowe] is taken away to be killed after the death of Emperor Marcus Aurelius [Richard Harris], and are seen throughout the film worn by Commodus' [Joaquim Phoenix] guardsmen.
