The Duke of Portland's portfolio is one of eleven Souvenir Albums that George Catlin executed between 1852 and 1868. Scattered throughtout the United States and Europe, these are currently in the manuscript collections of the British Museum, London, England; the Henry E. Huntington Library, San Marino, California; the National Museum of the American Indian, Smithsonian Institution, New York; and the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library, Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut, among others.
