2 volumes in one, 12° (155 x 108mm.), etched frontispiece, 58 half-page etchings by Romeyn de Hooghe (frontispiece and title stained, some light spotting and soiling), 18th-century red straight-grained morocco gilt, double fillets and roll-tool border, spine ruled and lettered in gilt, with central stamped motif of a harp and two trumpets within a laurel, gilt inner dentelles, gilt edges (extremities lightly rubbed). Provenance: William Kidd (inscription on pastedown and front blank, the latter dated 1866).
