8° (187 x 125mm.), illustrations by Shepard (half title and final leaf browned at edge, occasional very light mainly marginal browning, a few spots), original red pictorial cloth gilt, t.e.g. (corners a little rubbed, slightly faded at head of spine and upper edge), dust-jacket (torn with some loss to head and foot of backstrip including word 'Now' and part of 'We', other short tears, light stains and spotting). Provenance: A. McArthur Morison (bookplate).
