6 parts in 2 volumes, 2° (460 x 280mm.), engraved oval title vignette to volume I, 435 engraved plates on 432 leaves, after Sydenham Edwards, James Sowerby and William Kilburn a few hand-coloured, 5 pages of a manuscript index (by Thomas Kirkland G. Laybrook?) at the beginning of the second volume in black ink (title laid down, offsetting from plates onto text leaves, some spotting and browning mostly marginal), 19th century green half morocco by Woolstencroft of Warrington, spine gilt lettering (extremites rubbed, front cover of volume II detached), new endpapers. Provenance: Contemporary ownership inscription of Thomas Kirkland G. Laybrook; Warrington Museum and Library (stamp on 2 leaves and library serial number on spine).
