8 volumes in 4, 4° (275 x 230mm.), parallel text in English and French, 336 hand-coloured etched plates brightly coloured with wash backgrounds by and after Lewin and his sons, 278 of birds, the remaining 58 plates of eggs (very occasional spotting), contemporary calf, spines lettered in gilt with raised bands (extremities worn).
