Lichtenstein's composed, modern face is reminiscent of 1930s classicism and the style of the Art Deco period, while it is seamlessly combined with the bold colors and dynamism of Pop. That this piece was mass produced is itself a play on Pop and its artistic commentaries on mass production and commercialism.
