with golden mohair, pronounced clipped muzzle, clear and black glasse eyes with brown painted backs, black stitched nose, mouth and claws, body forming tea cosy with arms, black padded lining and original card chest tag 'The last word in novelties - Omega Trade Mark - Made in London England' --11in. (28cm.) high, 1920s (slight thinning to back of head)

Lot Essay

'Omega' was the trademark of British United Toy Manufacturing Co. with showroom in Cripplegate, London and the factory was based in South Tottenham, Middlesex. They were producing a variety of dolls and teddy bears from 1912.
