Details
An unusual and well engineered model twin cylinder double beam engine,
originally built circa 1930 and restored circa 1960 by A.Daniels, with brass cylinders approximatedly 1 1/8in. bores x 1½in. stroke, inward facing centrally mounted valve chests, inlet and exhaust pipework with flanged joints and with stop valves to allow each engine to run independantly of the other or both together, parallel motion with gibbed and cottered drop links, the beam supported in trunnions mounted on the entablature in turn raised on four tapered columns. Further details include barrelled connecting rods with gibbed and cottered big ends, pierced eccentric rods, gear driven Watt-type governor, linkage and vlave, centrally mounted spoked flywheel and metal bed, finished in mainly unpainted polished brightwork, red and green -- 8 x 11in. (20.3 x 28cm.)
