signed on the foot J. SWIFT & SON LONDON, stamped on the underside 11101, with rack and pinion eyepiece focusing, the body-tube with rack and pinion focusing and nicol prism, the circular stage with separate slide-holding attachment, sub-stage diaphragm and sub-stage plano-concave mirror, with accessories including a large bull's-eye condensor, double objective nose-piece, Swift ¼in. and 1in. objectives and other items, in the original fitted mahogany case with brass carrying handle and two hooks and eyes -- 16¼in. (41.2cm.) high; together with two pine boxes of approximately 144 amateur slide preparations each
