signed on the foot EDMUND WHEELER LONDON, the double eyepieces with rack and pinion adjustment, the body-tube with rack and pinion focusing and micrometer fine adjustment, the mechanical stage with mechanical substage condensor with rack and pinion adjustment, and substage plano-concave mirror, in the original fitted mahogany case with accessory drawer, with two eyepieces, large bull's-eye condensor and stage forceps, the case -- 19in. (48.3cm.) high; with a separate mahogany accessory case containing objectives in brass cans by Swift including a 1/12 oil immersion, Ross, Crouch and Baker, an analyzing prism, numerous eyepieces, two shallow cans of shades, five various substage condensor attachments including a large prism and a large adjustable condensor with diaphragm, a brass Watson slide holder, and an unusual reflector on a brass rod in a shaped plush and silk-lined leatherette-covered case, the mahogany case -- 15¾in.
