signed on the underside of the compass box And. Vogl., the equinoctial ring with sprung gnomon (defective) and graduated in hours III-XII, I-IX, the folding latitude arc graduated 10°-82°, the horizontal plate with decorative engraving and folding pierced plummet support (plummet missing) and compass bowl with engraved rose, Latin intials for compass directions, blued-iron needle with brass cap and glazed cover, the underside of the compass box engraved with Elevati Poli Augsburg Paris 48 Cracau Prag 50 Leipzig 51 London 52 And. Vogl, in a shaped red cloth-lined leather-covered card case (replacement leather) -- 3 1/8in. (8cm.) wide
