TAYLOR 1945
Lying in Wiltshire
Taylor--Vintage 1945
Oporto-bottled. Chipped wax capsule. Bin-soiled, torn and loose labels. Level into neck
Tasting note : The first end-of-war vintage was of superb quality, although, as in other European wine districts, the quantity was small.
A fine deep lively plummy colour; a well-spread, beautifully sublime bouquet with a touch of liquorice, slightly malty; fairly sweet, loaded with fruit and alcohol, firm, intense, nutty, great length. M.B. (GVWB II)
