Tasting note: the 1947 La Conseillante (rated 92 in December 1995) has been fully mature for some time, but its color reveals only modest rust and orange at the rim. It is a more delicate, elegant style of wine with medium body, sweet black raspberry fruit intertwined with scents of herbs, smoke, and cedar, and a long, alcoholic, soft finish. Drink it up.
