Excellent appearance
Tasting note: Amazing depth of colour very deep and opaque, few signs of age at the rim. Massive and masculine on the nose; inky and almost Rhône-like; plenty of leather and spice; very intense with masses of sweet, ripe Cabernet fruit oozing from the glass. Equally immense on the palate. Charged with flavour and glycerol, chewy and extracted, warm in alcohol; layers of multi-dimensional fruit, plenty of fruit, a certain rusticity again reminiscent of the Rhône. Huge in every way. Very good length with sweet blackcurrant finish. Still a youngster. T.H.
