Lieutenant James Frederick Lister Hartmann, who was born in 1893 and educated at Radley College, was gazetted to the 3rd (Special Reserve) Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment as a 2nd Lieutenant in January 1912 but joined the 1st Battalion, out in France, in August 1914. Advanced to Lieutenant in January 1915, he appears to have seen further service with the 14th Battalion and was discharged before March 1917.

Private George Herbert Crabb, who was from Bristol, was killed in action, France and Flanders, on 22.4.1915, while serving with the 1/6th Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment.

Private Albert Edward Dowding, who was from Blaisdon, died of wounds, France and Flanders, on 11.2.1915, while serving with the 2nd Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment.

Private Horace Thomas Reece, who was from Shoreditch, London, was killed in action on the Somme on 18.12.1916, while serving with the 1st Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment.
