Private Hugh S.D. McCartney, who was from Leith, Argyllshire, was killed in action near Festubert on 18.12.1914, while serving with the 1st Battalion, Highland Light Infantry.

Corporal John Sinclair, who was from Glasgow, was killed in action in the Targelle Valley during a costly push towards the St. Quentin Canal on 29.9.1918, while serving with the 1/9th Battalion, Highland Light Infantry.

Private Hope Sinclair, who was from Perthshire, was killed in action in the action in a 'dashing charge' at Little Zab River in Mesopotamia on 25.10.1918, while serving with the 1st Battalion, Highland Light Infantry.
