Royal 2o (391 x 286 mm). Single leaf from vol. I, containing I Kings 7:1-9:15. 42 lines, double column. Gothic type 1:140. Two 2-line Lombard initials supplied in red and blue, headlines and chapter numbers in alternating red and blue letters, capital strokes in red. Paper watermarked with Bull's Head. (Some minor marginal finger-soiling and pale spotting.) Tipped-in A Noble Fragment: Being a leaf of the Gutenberg Bible, with a bibliographical essay by A. Edward Newton. New York: Gabriel Wells, 1921. Dark blue morocco gilt, by Stikeman and Co.; publisher's board slipcase.
