TURRECREMATA, Johannes de (1388-1468). Expositio super toto psalterio. [Augsburg]: Johann Schüssler, 6th May 1472.
Super-chancery 2o (301 x 210 mm). Collation: [112 2-1310 144]. 133 (of 136 leaves; lacks blanks 1/1 and 14/3-14/4). 35 lines. Gothic type 1:117. 2- to 6-line initial spaces. Rubricated in red with 2 large Lombard initials with reserved ornament, small initials, paragraph marks and capital strokes. Roman chapter numerals in outer margins. 19th-century boards (some rubbing and soiling). Provenance: Estelle Doheny (morocco bookplate; purchased from A.S.W. Rosenbach, Philadelphia, 27 June 1941) -- donated to SMS 1941.
Third edition, reprint from an undated edition published by Schüssler not after 1471. The present text corrects the misplacement of parts of Psalms 112 and 119 in the earlier edition. There were also a few changes in the setting of the last leaf, but otherwise this edition follows the undated edition very closely. The type is the first to be used in Augsburg by Günther Zainer who sold the type to Schüssler in 1470. BMC II,329 (IB. 5629); H *15696; Pr 1596; Goff T-519.
