4 parts in one volume, 2o (364 x 217 mm). Printer's device on title. Printed in two columns with shoulder notes. Contemporary olive green goatskin, covers decorated in gilt with a double fillet, small cherub at the corners, and large central gilt coat-of-arms of Sir Robert Shirley, smooth spine divided into 7 compartments by double gilt fillets (silk ties vanished, spine evenly faded to brown). Provenance: Sir Robert Shirley (1629?-56, gilt arms on binding) -- Washington Sewallis Earl Ferrers (1822-59, large armorial bookplate) -- Estelle Doheny (morocco bookplate; purchased from Maggs Bros., London, 31 August 1944) -- donated to SMS 1944.

Tremellius and Junius' version of the Bible, with the addition of Beza's translation of the New Testament. This professes to be a revised edition with an additional index. Robert Shirley succeeded his brother as fourth Baronet in 1646, Washington Sewallis, ninth Earl Ferrers was his direct descendant. Darlow & Moule 6212.
