2o (308 x 215mm). Gothic types, double- and single column, printed in red and black. Large woodcut of the Crucifixion on f.189v, numerous historiated woodcut initials, some embellished with woodcut borders, initial capitals printed in red or black, large printer's device on last page. Music notation: "hufnagelshrift" note-forms in black on a four-line staff printed in red. (Canon of the Mass [B1-8] with minor repairs to lower edges.) Nineteenth-century blue morocco gilt, g.e., by Bedford (Slight wear, fore-edges foxed.) Provenance: Henry H. Gibbs of St. Dunstans's (signature, dated 1863 on flyleaf) -- Aldenham House, Herts.
