FIRST EDITION. A rare item issued as an advertisement by Thayer and Eldrige, publishers of the third edition of Leaves of Grass in 1860. The work reprints 25 of the reviews of the 1855 and 1856 editions, including three Whitman planted himself. He edited the book himself. Myerson D4. A FINE COPY.
