Central Persia, circa 1900
The pale rose field with overall fine scrolling palmette vine enclosing a flower vase in each corner around a cusped light blue medallion with leafy and cusped pendants containing similar motifs around a concentric raspberry pink, pale rose and dusty red rosette centrepiece, part similar medallions at each side and forming the spandrels, in a pale rose border of continuous flowering and willow trees containing perching birds between ice-blue and raspberry-pink angular floral meander stripes, minor reciprocal skittle-pattern stripes, a couple of areas of minimal wear, dirty, basically very good condition
