A Regency copper hot water urn, early 19th century
Of oval form, the domed cover with recumbent sphinx finial, the rim with pressed Greek key collar above an ogee moulded shoulder descending to a further conforming collar, the ends with zoomorphic handles rising from stylised lion masks, with brass spigot above the waisted socle and oval base on four bun feet -- 16½in. (41.8cm.) high
