FURTHER SELECTIONS FROM THE LENOIR M. JOSEY COLLECTION
We are very proud to offer more highly sought after wines from the cellar of Lenoir M. Josey. Last year we sold a large part of Mr. Josey's collection after he came to realize that his lifetime collecting of wine had accumulated more wine than any person could consume in a lifetime. His cellar offered everything from 1870 Claret to Grand Cru Burgundies from the 1990 vintage to Quinta do Noval 1931 to D'Yquem 1921. This was one of the most successful sales for Christie's Wine Department in recent years. As the dust had settled down after we picked up his wines for our December 2000 sale, Mr. Josey realized that he still had more wines than he could possibly consume. What we find here is a fantastic collection of Claret, rare Burgundy and parcel lots of Chateau D'Yquem.
These wines were recently removed from his custom built cellar which maintains an ideal temperature of 50*F and 80* humidity
