The gouache in the manner of Angelica Kauffman, early 19th Century, the base adapted and basically early 19th Century
The circular top with moulded simulated wicker rim, above a gouache with medallions depicting the Four Seasons within octagonal frames, flanked by griffins and scrolling foliage and centred by a musical trophy, the border decorated with spread-winged swans and scrolling acanthus, on a ring-turned spreading shaft terminating in a stiff-leaf clasp, above a spreading foliated and gadrooned base, on a tripartite plinth and flat circular feet, the circular support underneath gouache replaced
