A Meissen group of Pantaloon and Columbine
Circa 1740, blue crossed swords mark
Modelled by J.J. Kändler with Pantaloon standing in a black cap, gilt-edged and buttoned red jacket, grey-lined yellow cloak, black breeches and yellow shoes, gesturing towards the seated Columbine who is stroking his beard and holding a mask in her right hand, in a puce and gilt bodice and red-lined turquoise cloak, her dress with indianische Blumen, on a rockwork base applied with coloured flowers (broken through base and repaired, part of her hair lacking and her left index finger partly lacking, chip to her right sleeve, some minor chipping to flowers)
