Exhibiting similar decorative detailing, the following bedroom suite is closely related to much of the work of Herter Brothers during the 1870s and 1880s. The floral inlay displayed on each piece is comparable to a detail from Herter Brothers inscription and bookplate (see Howe et al., Herter Brothers: Furniture and Interiors for a Gilded Age (Houston, 1994), p. 45, fig. 25).
