This drawing is one of a series of landscape drawings by the young Domenico. Many of these landscapes are based on drawings by his father. This particular sheet was recognised by James Byam Shaw as a copy after a print by Marco Ricci.
Two other landscapes by Domenico were sold at Christie's New York, 30 January 1997, lots 84-5.
