Of rectangular form, the exterior set with quills within ivory inlaid ebony banding opening to reveal a lid inlaid with an ivory elephant surrounded by radially inlaid hardwood specimens within ivory inlaid dotted arabesques, the interior fitted with a sham ivory and marquetry inlaid multi-lidded compartment lifting to reveal three ivory inlaid doors depicting warriors and punctuated by small drawers, the front section with two lifting compartments each fitted with small ivory and hardwood lidded wells over a shallow niche
