Sold with a photo-certificate by Jacques Dupin, dated Paris, le 12 mai 98.
The letter (illustrated) accompanying this lot was written by Miró to Peter Bellew in December 1956. It reads: 'passez chez Maeght quand vous aurez un moment, j'ai deposé quelque chose pour l'UNESCO et pour vous', explaining that he had left the present work at the Galerie Maeght in Paris, as a Christmas present for Peter and Hélène.
