A NUREMBERG STONEWARE GREEN-GLAZED STOVE TILE AND TWO GERMAN STONEWARE GREEN-GLAZED JUGS,
The tile 16th century, the jugs 15th century and possibly Aachen,
The tile crisply moulded with a triton astride a dolphin beneath an arch headed by the monogram LCVH and surmounted by a seated male figureholding drapery in each hand, within a moulded frame, 13¼in. (33.6cm.) high; the large storage jar with strap handle and small pinched spout, a large firing crack in one side, 14½in. (36.7cm.) high; the second smaller jug of teardrop form, the underside pierced as a sprinkler with concentric bands of small holes, the mouth a small hole, 10 7/8in. (27.7cm.) high (3)
