A Palampore, printed and painted with two peacocks, one with open fan tail, on an elegant tree with elegantly meandering, flowering branches, on a stylised hillocky ground, the borders with blossoming saplings, with added vertical borders, quilted and lined--100in. (250cm.) square, Coromandel coast, 18th century; and a small Palampore, printed and painted in reds and madder with a fantastical blossoming tree, on stylised hillocky and floral ground, lined--88 x 52in.
